RUOOD AL GHARBIA (AE) - (E Chaves): Bumped on jumping. ZAEEMA AL REEF (AE) - (F Jara): Rider was dislodged on route to the barrier. Both rider and horse were examined on arrival at the barriers and passed fit. Began awkwardly and bumped another runner. AF MUGHEETH (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Began awkwardly. DAEIJ ALIN (AE) - (C Beasley): Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped another runner. ES GHAZI (AE) - (S Hitchcott): From the 100 metres taken inwards by another runner. JANAH A'THANI W'RSAN (AE) - (R Mullen): Bumped on jumping. AL QAHIRA W'RSAN (AE) - (N Garbutt): Shortly after the start bumped heavily by another runner on the hind-quarters. On return to scale the ride reported that the filly hung in over the concluding stages, resulting in him having to stop riding and straighten his mount. General: Jockey J Santiago (RAED ALSHAMAL (AE)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(ii) for using the whip when his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Stewards took into account that this was J Santiago’s first breach of this Rule for the season.

AL YAMAMAH MLEEH (AE) - (F Jara): Raced wide without cover throughout. FATHIA DE CARRERE (FR) - (S Paiva): Slow to begin. Near the 400 metres hampered by the rider-less horse. HIGHH ALTITUDE (US) - (R Mullen): On jumping checked when tightened for room and lost ground. General: Jockey A Fresu was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and was passed fit to fulfil his remaining riding engagements. Apprentice S Al Balushi (AF ARRAB (AE)) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), the particulars being that near the 400 metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not sufficiently clear of AF TATHOOR (AE)(A Fresu), resulting in that mare clipping his mount’s heels and A Fresu being dislodged. Apprentice Al Balushi had his license to ride in races suspended for six race-meetings (Al Ain 05.03.2020, Jebel Ali 06.03.2020, Meydan 07.03.2020, Abu Dhabi 08.03.2020, Meydan 12.03.2020 and Al Ain 13.03.2020). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account S Al Balushi‘s good careless riding record, that the carelessness resulted in a fall and Apprentice Al Balushi pled not guilty.
