The start of the race was delayed by approximately 10 minutes due to the Club’s Medical Officer not available on course. AF ATHABEH (AE) - (T O'Shea): Shortly after the start was bumped heavily and taken inwards. AF MEZMAR (AE) - (A McLean): On jumping shifted in quickly bumping heavily with another runner. MEN ALEMARAT (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Raced wide throughout. MERLOT AL MAURY (FR) - (R Mullen): Slow to begin and shortly after was bumped and taken outwards by another runner. THULBASEERA AL JASRA (FR) - (S Mazur): Near the 1600 metres was taken outwards and brushed another runner. WAFI (FR) - (N Garbutt): Near the 1600 metres was brushed by another runner, then carried outwards and restrained off heels. AL YAMAMAH MLEEH (AE) - (F Jara): Commenced awkwardly. Made the turn in the straight wide. Lay outwards in the early part of the race. BURJ AL REEF (AE) - (F Veron): Acting on a confirmed telephone call from Trainer Mr A Al Mehairbi that the horse was injured whilst being loaded into the horsebox Mr Al Mehairbi was advised that prior to the horse entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for BURJ AL REEF (AE). ES KWASHI (AE) - (P Dobbs): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr A Al Mehairbi was notified that the horse would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. YALAP AL NAIF (QA) - (P Cosgrave): Shifted out on jumping bumping another runner. Eased down by its rider near the 900 metres. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the left fore-leg with a suspected suspensory injury. Trainer Mr M Rahman was advised that prior to the horse being entered to race again, YALAP AL NAIF (QA) must complete a suitability examination conducted by the ERA Veterinarian.

ELVIS (USA) - (S Paiva): Approaching the 1200 metres mis-strode and became unbalanced. LUXOR TEMPLE (USA) - (F Jara): Raced wide from the 1200 metres. MOUSER (USA) – (I Koyuncu): Trainers Mr M Ibrahim advised that the following morning MOUSER (USA) had shin soreness in his left fore-leg. OFF WHITE (USA) - (A de Vries): Commenced awkwardly. Lay out under pressure from the 400 metres. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for Jockey A de Vries (OFF WHITE (USA)) shifting out near the 400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 400 metres AUTUMN PRIDE (IRE)(C Beasley) was carried wider on the track by OFF WHITE (USA) which was laying out. Stewards took no action in the circumstances other than to advise A de Vries to exercise care when racing in a similar situation, in future.
