The start of the race was delayed by approximately 6 minutes due to the late withdrawal of JAZIRAT (IRE) and ONE SEASON (IRE) undergoing a veterinary examination. LITECOIN (IRE) - (P Graberg): On arrival at the barrier it was discovered that the visor had worked lose and was ill-fitting. Due to safety issues the Stewards ordered the visor be removed. On straightening lay out and bumped another runner, before continuing to lay out for the remainder of the race. MUTAWAKKED (IRE) - (D O'Neill): Began awkwardly throwing its head. RICH AND FAMOUS (USA) - (R Ffrench): Began awkwardly. JAZIRAT (IRE) - (S Al Balushi): After being placed in the barrier became fractious and reared. Underwent a veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 5:34pm. Trainer Mr S Al Shamsi was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. REFULGENCE STAR (IRE) - (T O'Shea): Raced wide without cover throughout. DUBAWI'S THUNDER (GB) - (D Liska): Lay out rounding the home turn. Bumped on straightening before continuing to lay out for the remainder. ONE SEASON (IRE) - (R Mullen): After being placed in the barrier, was removed and underwent a veterinary examination when the horse in the adjoining stall became fractious. ONE SEASON (IRE) was passed suitable to race. STILL LIFE (GB) - (S Paiva): Slow to begin. General: Following the running of Race 2 Jockey F Veron was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and deemed unsuitable to fulfil his remaining engagements.
