AF SAIL (FR) - (T O'Shea): Commenced awkwardly. ZALMAN (FR) - (C Beasley): Raced wide without cover throughout. AF NAMOUS (AE) - (A Fresu): Slow into stride then bumped by another runner. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. ALABER (AE) - (S Mazur): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. MADYAT ALKHALEDIAH (SA) - (A M Al Balushi): Shortly after the start, shifted in and bumped another runner. SHAFAF (AE) - (N Garbutt): Late withdrawal by the Stewards at 4.35pm due to non-arrival. AF AWAYED (AE) - (F Jara): Bumped shortly after the start. BRAKHA AL GHARBIA (AE) - (R Ffrench): Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner. HADIA (AE) - (S Al Balushi): Raced wide without cover throughout. MAYMOUNA AL HOSEN (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Commenced awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner. Shortly after the start was eased off the heels of another runner. Approaching the 1300 metres had to be checked off the heels of another runner. RABOOA AL AIN (AE) - (S Paiva): Slow to begin. General: Stewards questioned Mr A Al Mehairbi’s Assistant Trainer as to why SHAFAF (AE) failed to arrive on course at the required time. He explained that there had been two horseboxs used as transport their horses for today race-meeting. The horse transporter bringing SHAFAF (AE) was suffering mechanical issues and consequently was delayed arriving on course at the prescribed time. Stewards noted the explanation and no action was taken. Stewards inquired into the reason for MAYMOUNA AL HOSEN (AE)(B Pinheiro) having to be checked near the 1300 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that AF NAMOUS (AE)(A Fresu) shifted ground inwards abruptly, when racing ungenerously, resulting in MAYMOUNA AL HOSEN (AE) having to be checked of that colt’s heels. Stewards noted the racing manners of AF NAMOUS (AE) as the reason for this incident.

General: Stewards inquired into the reason for CALIFORNIA JUMBO (USA)(S Mazur) having to be checked approaching the 1900 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 1900 metres CALIFORNIA JUMBO (USA), which was racing in restricted room and awkwardly placed to the outside of LITIGATION (GB)(R Tart), had to be checked and becoming unbalanced when LITIGATION (GB) shifted outwards marginally, when racing in restricted room. As Stewards could not attribute the interference to any one rider, no action was taken.

AF HERAQLE (AE) - (T O'Shea): Commenced awkwardly. Shifted out on jumping. AF SENAD (AE) - (C Beasley): Passing the 400 metres lay out under pressure. Shifted out under pressure near the 200 metres. AZAAM (FR) - (F Veron): Underwent a veterinary examination, when being placed next to a runner that was fractious in the barrier, being passed suitable to race. HAJJAR W'RSAN (AE) - (P Cosgrave): Underwent a veterinary examination, when being placed next to a runner that was fractious in the barrier, being passed suitable to race. JAP AL YAASOOB (AE) - (R Scott): When exiting the parade ring the horse reared, dislodging its rider and consequently F Jara underwent a medical examination by the Club’s Medical Officer and was deemed unsuitable to fulfil his remaining engagements. F Jara was transported to the regional hospital for further assessment and as result was replaced by non-claiming apprentice R Scott. On arrival at the barrier JAP AL YAASOOB (AE) underwent a veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. Shortly after the start was tightened for room and hampered. KALID (FR) - (E Chaves): After being placed in the barrier, become extremely fractious and reared backwards, dislodging its rider. As a result, underwent a veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the horse at 7:56pm. Trainer Mr K Al Neyadi was advised that prior to entering the horse to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have suffered a wound to the left fore-leg. Trainer Mr K Al Neyadi was advised that prior to the horse being entered to race again, he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for KALID (FR). MA'AALY (AE) - (R Mullen): Shortly after the start was brushed and carried inwards by another runner. MAMLAKAH (MA) - (R Ffrench): Raced wide without cover throughout. MH AREEB (AE) - (A Fresu): On jumping shifted out and brushed another runner. WMA FORTE (US) - (S Paiva): Slow to begin. General: Trainer Mr A S Al Shamsi (WMA FORTE (US)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late equipment change to race the horse without a shadow roll and with a tongue-tie.
