Trainer Mr M Al Shamsi (EXPRESS AL REEF (AE)) was fined AED 250 under the provisions of ERA Rule 31(i)(e) for failing to notify the ERA of the vaccination update to EXPRESS AL REEF (AE), which was entered to run but didn’t declare. BORKAN DE REDAIM (AE) - (I Al Balushi): Shortly after the start after initially been taken out by another runner continued to lay out for a short distance. RAHI (AE) - (P Cosgrave): On jumping hampered by another runner and lost ground. Shortly after the start shift in abruptly to avoid the heels of another runner. SAKB AL MAURY (AE) - (S Al Balushi): Slow to begin. SAMAU XMNSOR (AE) - (A Al Balushi): Hung outwards in the early stages. Commenced to lay out from the 500 metres. SNIPER (AE) - (H Lebouc): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. Lay out under pressure during the middle stages. General: Apprentice S Al Balushi (SAKB AL MAURY (AE)) was fined AED 250, under the provisions of ERA Rule 62(i) for having his chin strap not correctly fastened when mounted on a horse. Apprentice A Al Balushi (SAMAU XMNSOR (AE)) was fined AED 2000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess, in that he used it on 13 occasions. Stewards took into account that this was A Al Balushi’s second breach of this Rule for the season.

Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr M Al Shamsi was notified that the filly would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. MARMARA (AE) - (A Fresu): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. AF NASHET (AE) - (T O'Shea): On jumping was bumped on the hindquarter by another runner. Near the 600 metres raced ungenerously and was bumped by another runner. General: Trainer Mr M Al Shamsi (NAWARA SB (OM)) was fined AED 250 under the provisions of ERA Rule 31(i)(e) for failing to notify the ERA of the vaccination update to NAWARA SB (OM). Apprentice S Al Balushi (NASSEEM KB (FR)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding, in that near the 600 metres NASSEEM KB (FR)) shifted inwards when not sufficiently clear on NAWARA SB (OM)(I Al Balushi), which was initially taken outwards by AF NASHET (AE)(T O’Shea) and as a result NAWARA SB (OM) was tightened for room and had to be checked. Stewards also noted the racing manners of AF NASHET (AE) in that the horse was racing ungenerously prior to the incident.
