Other comments: Horses that have not started in more than 365 days underwent a pre-race veterinary examination by the ERA Veterinarian and were passed suitable to race. JAP AL LUTIM (AE) - (R Ffrench): Raced ungenerously in the early stages. JAP MANEE (AE) - (F Jara): Slow to begin. QANOON (AE) - (S Mazur): On jumping stumbled and shifted ground out abruptly. KASER AL RAWASI (AE) - (R Iacopini): Approaching the winning post shifted outwards before being restrained off the heels of another runner. General: Trainer Mr J-C Pecout (RADWAN (AE)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late equipment change to race the horse with cheek pieces and without a shadow roll. Apprentice R Iacopini (KASER AL RAWASI (AE)) was fined AED 2000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess, in that he used it on 17 occasions. Stewards took into account that this was R Iacopini’s second breach of this Rule for the season.

AF RAMZ (FR) - (T O'Shea): Shortly after he start stumbled. Passing the winning post on the first occasion was taken inwards by another runner and tightened for room. CHERIDANE (FR) - (J Rosales): Slow to begin. KING MAJD (FR) - (P Cosgrave): On jumping shifted out abruptly. M'A YAROMOON (FR) - (S Al Balushi): On jumping bumped by another runner and hampered. SHARMANN DU CAYROU (FR) - (M Holmberg): On arrival at the barrier underwent a veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on veterinary advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the horse at 2:56pm. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame left-front. Trainer Ms. S Al Ghurair was advised that prior to entering the horse to race again, she must produce a veterinary certificate of fitness for SHARMANN DU CAYROU (FR). AMIRAH (FR) - (C Beasley): Began awkwardly. ARIM W'RSAN (AE) - (R Ffrench): Passing the winning post on the first occasion shifted out marginally when over-racing. BERMIL (AE) - (R Curatolo): Slow to begin and lost ground. JAP AL YAREH (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Slow to begin. JAP HADAD (AE) - (F Jara): Began awkwardly. Lay out rounding the home turn and raced wide without cover for the remainder. JAP SULTAN (AE) - (S Hitchcott): On jumping shifted in and hampered another runner. MUTEFJR W'RSAN (AE) - (N Crosse): Passing the winning post on the first occasion had to be restrained when tightened for room. On return to scale the rider reported that the colt hung right throughout. SAHABA (AE) - (R Mullen): Passing the winning post on the first occasion was taken inwards by another runner and tightened for room. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for MUTEFJR W'RSAN (AE)(N Crosse) having to be restrained passing the winning post on the first occasion. On the evidence and available footage it was established that passing the winning post on the first occasion AF RAMZ (FR)(T O'Shea) shifted marginally inwards away from FUTOON (FR)(F Veron), as a result SAHABA (AE)(R Mullen) which was racing in restricted room was taken inwards and MUTEFJR W'RSAN (AE) was restrained when tightened for room as a result. In this incident ARIM W'RSAN (AE)(R Ffrench) shifted out marginally contributing to the tightening of MUTEFJR W'RSAN (AE). Taking into account all the evidence Stewards reported it as a racing incident and advised all riders to exercise more care in a similar situation.

ELLAL (AE) - (A Al Balushi): Marginally slow to begin and bumped by another runner. MAQAM (AE) - (F Veron): Slow to begin. ES NAHAWAND (AE) - (B Pinheiro): On jumping shifted out and brushed another runner. JAP ANEED (AE) - (S Mazur): On jumping bumped between other runners. AF METAWED (AE) - (A Fresu): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. AF SAHWA (AE) - (N Crosse): Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped another runner. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the colt’s performance. AMANG ALAWDA (AE) - (M Abik): Began awkwardly. ES MA'ROUF (AE) - (S Hitchcott): On return to scale the rider reported that the horse lost its action from the middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from cardiac arrthymia. Trainer Mr A Al Shehhi was notified that prior to the horse entering to race again it must perform a satisfactory gallop in the presence of an ERA veterinary officer and lodge a veterinary report stating that ES MA'ROUF (AE) is displaying a normal ECG after the gallop. The official gallop may only be performed fourteen (14) days after the event. NAJEM AL RWASI (AE) - (R Curatolo): Began awkwardly.
