AF AL ABADEE (AE) - (T O'Shea): Commenced awkwardly. Lay out under pressure from the 200 metres. SAMHAN (AE) - (I Al Balushi): Raced ungenerously in the middle stages. ATAYEB (AE) - (R Curatolo): On jumping was bumped by another runner, hampered and lost ground. HASHIMH (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Slow to begin. QASSIM (AE) - (F Veron): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. ADLEH (AE) - (A M Al Balushi): Due to the extreme late arrival of the filly on course, underwent a veterinary examination and was passed suitable to the race. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. On return to scale the rider reported that the filly did not feel right in its action throughout the race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. AL AJAYIB (AE) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly. General: Trainer Mr M Al Shamsi was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 68(i) in that he failed to present ADLEH (AE) on course by the prescribed time. Due to arriving extremely late, Stewards considered withdrawing the filly, however acceded to Mr M Al Shamsi’s request to permit ADLEH (AE) to race. Further, Trainer Mr M Al Shamsi (ADLEH (AE)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late equipment change to race the filly with visors and without blinkers.

ASHJAAN (AE) - (F Veron): Commenced awkwardly and shifted out. Over-raced in the early stages. NAJEM AL RWASI (AE) - (S Mazur): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr A Al Shemaili was notified that the horse would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. RIAH HUB ALAWDA (AE) - (F Jara): Approaching the wining post on the first occasion shifted out abruptly. When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider advised that RIAH HUB ALAWDA (AE) never travelled well throughout. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

AF AL BAHER (AE) - (R Mullen): Near the 600 metres had to be eased when tightened for room. JEEMI (FR) - (A Fresu): Passing the 900 metres had to be restrained when hampered by another runner. ARJAN (FR) - (J Rosales): Slow to begin. ASRAA MIN AL TALQA (GB) - (A M Al Balushi): When questioned regarding the improved performance of the horse, Trainer Mr H Alalawi advised that ASRAA MIN AL TALQA (GB) was having its first start in his stable, however after arriving in his yard had to be treated for stomach ulcers and in his opinion the horse is ideally suited racing over further distances than it has at its most recent starts. MA'AALY (AE) - (R Curatolo): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. General: Jockey A M Al Balushi (ASRAA MIN AL TALQA (GB)) was fined AED 1000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess, in that he used it on 13 occasions. Stewards took into account that this was A M Al Balushi’s first breach of the Rule this season and that he won the race. Jockey R Curatolo (MA’AALY (AE)) was advised to exercise more care when permitting his mount to shift ground, in that passing the 900 metres he shifted inwards when insufficiency clear of AF AL BAHER (AE)(R Mullen), which had to be eased when tightened for room.
