Other comments: Horses that have not started in more than 365 days underwent a pre-race veterinary examination by the ERA Veterinarian and were passed suitable to race. FERDOUS (FR) - (S Al Balushi): Shortly after the start shifted in and away from another runner. Raced wide without cover throughout. RB DIXIE HONOR (US) - (R Curatolo): Slow to begin. NAYROUZ (FR) - (R Mullen): Marginally slow to begin. OPTIMIZM (US) - (B Pinheiro): Shortly after the start was tightened for room between runners and lost ground. AF BARARI (AE) - (A de Vries): On jumping was taken inwards, bumped another runner and lost ground. Shortly after the start had to be restrained when tightened for room. MORJANAH AL REEF (AE) - (C Beasley): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. Shortly after the start had to be steadied when racing in restricted room. SHAMMARAH (AE) - (P Cosgrave): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. Shortly after the start shifted inwards abruptly when bumped by another runner. BOREALIS FORTA (AE) - (H Lebouc): On arrival at the barrier, underwent a veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. Shortly after the start shifted inwards abruptly away from another runner. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for AF BARARI (AE)(A de Vries) having to restrained shortly after the start. On the evidence and available footage it was established that shortly after the start FUTOON (FR)(M Holmberg) shifted in when insufficiently clear of BOREALIS FORTA (AE)(H Lebouc), which shifted inwards abruptly and bumped FERDOUS (FR)(S Al Balushi). As a result FERDOUS (FR) was taken inwards and bumped SHAMMARAH (AE)(P Cosgrave), which shifted inwards abruptly and tightened the running of AF BARARI (AE), which had to be restrained. As a result MORJANAH AL REEF (AE)(C Beasley) who racing to the inside of AF BARARI (AE) had to be steadied when racing in restricted room. Stewards reprimanded Jockey M Holmberg under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding and took into account the racing manners of BOREALIS FORTA (AE) and SHAMMARAH (AE).

RAKBAHAR DU CAYROU (FR) - (B Pinheiro): On jumping bumped by another runner. AF HEMMAM (AE) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly. DHAW AL REEF (AE) - (G Avranche): On jumping taken out and bumped another runner. SAHEEL AL MEGIRAT (AE) - (S Hitchcott): Commenced awkwardly. ZF HAKEEMAH (OM) - (H Bentley): Saddle had to be re-adjusted on arrival at the barrier. Approaching the 400 metres was bumped heavily by another runner. AF ALAJAJ (FR) - (T O'Shea): Slow into stride. AF RAMMAI (FR) - (R Curatolo): On arrival at the barrier, underwent a veterinary examination on the request of its rider and was deemed unsuitable to race. As a result, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of AF RAMMAI (FR) at 5:24pm. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be lame in the right fore-leg. Trainer Mr A Daud was advised that prior to the colt being entered to race again, he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for AF RAMMAI (FR). ARES DE GION (FR) - (A Al Balushi): Hampered when bumped on jumping and lost ground. Lost its left hind-plate during the race. MASAR (FR) - (R Mullen): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. Approaching the 400 metres took control of its rider and shifted out abruptly bumping heavily with another runner. OTINA (FR) - (F Jara): Approaching the 400 metres heavily bumped by another runner and became unbalanced. JOOD (FR) - (S Mazur): On jumping shifted in, bumped another runner and lost ground. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for ZF HAKEEMAH (OM)(H Bentley) and OTINA (FR)(F Jara) being bumped severely approaching the 400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 400 metres MASAR (FR)(R Mullen) took control of its rider and shifted outwards abruptly bumping heavily with ZF HAKEEMAH (OM), who then bumped heavily with OTINA (FR)(F Jara), unbalancing its rider. ARES DE GION (FR) which was following had to be steadied off the heels of OTINA (FR) as a result. Stewards were of the view that the incident was due to the racing manners of MASAR (FR) and advised Trainer Mr E Oertel that prior to the colt entering to race again, MASAR (FR) will have to successfully complete a gallop to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

SHAFAF (AE) - (H Lebouc): Slow to begin. SHOJA'A MUSCAT (OM) - (A Al Balushi): Slow to begin. AF HAKEEM (AE) - (R Mullen): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground, SS LAMEA (AE) - (S Al Balushi): Slow to begin. General: Trainer M. M Al Shamsi (WAHAG SB (OM)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late equipment change to race the mare without blinkers. Stewards inquired into the reason for M'A YAROMOON (FR)(B Pinheiro) having to be restrained rounding the home turn. On the evidence and available footage it was established that rounding the home M'A YAROMOON (FR) attempted a run between SS LAMEA (AE)(S Al Balushi) and HISHAM AL KHALEDIAH II (SA) where there was insufficient room. Jockey B Pinheiro was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA 69(i) for careless riding.

ES JALMUD (AE) - (A de Vries): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the left fore-leg. Trainer Mr I Aseel was advised that prior to the horse being entered to race again, he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for ES JALMUD (AE).
