ENJAZAAT (GB) - (D O'Neill): Raced keen in the early stages and near the 1200 metres had to be restrained. GLORIOUS JOURNEY (GB) - (W Buick): Bumped on jumping. LAND OF LEGENDS (IRE) - (L Dettori): Bumped on jumping. MEDAHIM (IRE) - (R Mullen): Stumbled on jumping. VELORUM (IRE) - (M Barzalona): Over-raced in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding the rider advised that VELORUM (IRE) will take benefit from having its first run of the season. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for ENJAZAAT (GB)(D O'Neill) having to restrain near the 1200 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 1200 metres LAND OF LEGENDS (IRE)(L Dettori) shifted in when insufficiently clear of for ENJAZAAT (GB), which had to be restrained. Stewards noted D O’Neill’s evidence that ENJAZAAT (GB) had been racing keen in the early stages and did not respond to him attempting to ease the gelding to obtain cover. Jockey L Dettori was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA 69(i) for careless riding and advised to exercise more care in a similar situation.
