COMMUNIQUE (IRE) - (M Barzalona): When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be mildly lame in the right fore-leg. As COMMUNIQUE (IRE) was having its first start since returning from an embargo due to lameness, Trainer Mr S bin Ghadayer was advised that prior to entering the horse to race again, he must produce a veterinary certificate of fitness for COMMUNIQUE (IRE). DUBAI WARRIOR (GB) - (L Dettori): Commenced awkwardly. When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be mildly lame in the right fore-leg. RED CACTUS (USA) - (E Chaves): Near the 2000 metres had to be steadied when momentarily tightened for room. LAVASPIN (GB) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner. Near the 1000 metres bumped another runner on a number of occasions. PREMIER STAR (USA) - (A Atzeni): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. Near the 1000 metres bumped another runner on a number of occasions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be mildly lame in the left fore-leg. SHANAGHAI CITY (USA) - (F Veron): Commenced awkwardly. UPPER CLASS (BRZ) - (V Leal): Commenced awkwardly and bumped another runner. General: Jockey A Atzeni (PREMIER STAR (USA)) was fined AED 2000 under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(i) for hitting his mount in front of the saddle whilst holding the whip in the forehand. Stewards took into account that this was A Atzeni’s second breach of this Rule for the season. Stewards inquired into the reason for ES RACO (IRE)(E Chaves) being tightened for room near the 200 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 200 metres ENJAZAAT (GB)(S Paiva) shifted out and tightened ES RACO (IRE), who had to be to be steadied. Jockey S Paiva was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding.

DESERT DOCTOR (IRE) - (A Atzeni): Commenced awkwardly, bumped another runner and lost ground. DUBAI ICON (GB) - (P Cosgrave): On jumping bumped another runner and lost ground. KIMBEAR (USA) - (L Dettori): Bumped on jumping and shifted ground outwards. MADKHAL (USA) - (A de Vries): Bumped on jumping and tightened for room shortly after the start. NORTH AMERICA (GB) - (R Mullen): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider advised that ROYAL CRUSADE (GB) was disappointing however will take benefit from its first up run after a long break. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. TAAMOL (IRE) - (S Paiva): Commenced awkwardly and bumped another runner shortly after. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. THE PERFECT CROWN (IRE) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin. YAALAIL (IRE) - (H Bentley): Stumbled on jumping. Passing the 400 metres shifted in and bumped another runner. FINAL SONG (IRE) - (L Dettori): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. ACKLAM EXPRESS (IRE) - (R Scott): Slow to begin.
