SA'AAB (USA) - (S Paiva): In the early stages lost contact with the field, trailed throughout and finished distanced. On return to scale the rider reported that the horse stumbled in the start and did not stretch out as expected. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the left fore-leg. Trainer Mr R Bouresly was advised that prior to the horse being entered to race again, he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for SA’AAB (USA). BAWADI SPIRIT (GB) - (F Veron): Near the 1300 metres eased off the heels of another runner when over-racing. DIGNITY JOY (USA) - (A Fresu): Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced ungenerously in the straight. DUBAI MA YAHAB (GB) - (J Rosales): Bumped on jumping. EMDAKAM (GB) - (S Mazur): Slow to begin. NIMER (USA) - (A Al Balushi): On jumping shifted in and bumped heavily with another runner. PANOSHOSHIC (USA) - (X Ziani): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. General: Trainer S bin Ghadayer (PANOSHOSHIC (USA)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late equipment change to race the filly with shadow roll on and without cheek pieces. Jockey A de Vries (SA'AAB (USA)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 56(iii), in that that he failed to present himself in the jockey’s room by the prescribed time, resulting in him having to be replaced by another rider. Jockey S Mazur was examined by the Club’s Medical Doctor and was deemed unfit to fulfil his remaining engagements for the remainder of the meeting. Jockey I Al Balushi (DUBAI MA YAHAB (GB)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 57(iv), for failing to make the declared weight and subsequently having to be replaced by another rider.

TRIBAL QUEST (USA) - (F Jara): Bumped on jumping. Eased out of the race passing the 700 metres. On attendance by the veterinary surgeon was found to have suffered to have a catastrophic injury to its right hind-leg and was humanely euthanized. A post-mortem examination will be performed. On return to scale the rider reported that the colt weakened over the concluding stages and may be suffering from a respiratory complaint. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. LUCIUS TIBERIUS (IRE) - (R Curatolo): Slow to begin. MUKALAL (GB) - (F Veron): Held up for a clear run from the home turn until approaching the early part of the straight. VELORUM (IRE) - (R Mullen): Slow to begin. ALFAREEQ (IRE) - (A Fresu): Near the 400 metres shifted out abruptly and bumped another runner. FAMOUS WOLF (FR) - (F Jara): On straightening was hampered when bumped by another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the second occasion FAMOUS WOLF (FR) has bled, acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr A bin Harmash was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 90 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA stewards or veterinary officer. GABR (GB) - (A de Vries): Slow to begin. MOUNT PELION (IRE) - (S Hitchcott): Commenced to weaken near the 400 metres before being eased down by its rider and collapsing. On attendance by the veterinary surgeon MOUNT PELION (IRE) was found to be deceased. A post-mortem examination will be performed. NAYSLAYER (IRE) - (B Pinheiro): Slow to begin. SENIORITY (GB) - (T O'Shea): Lay in under pressure from the 600 metres. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for ALFAREEQ (IRE)(A Fresu) shifting out abruptly off the heels of another runner near the 400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that shortly after straightening approaching the 400 metres ALFAREEQ (IRE) improved quickly behind VALE OF KENT (IRE) (J Santiago), which had just commenced to weaken, resulting in ALFAREEQ (IRE) clipping that gelding’s heels and shifting out abruptly, bumping FAMOUS WOLF (FR)(F Jara). Stewards took into account the evidence, finding no rider was responsible for the incident and reported it as a racing incident. Jockey S Hitchcott (MOUNT PELION (IRE)) was examined by the club’s doctor and passed fit to fulfil his remaining engagements.

DEEP INTRIGUE (GB) - (A de Vries): Stood flat-footed and lost ground (5 lengths). DOLMEN (FR) - (T O'Shea): When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, which was eased down in the straight, the rider could not offer any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right hind-leg and to have cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer Mr S Seemar was notified that prior to the gelding entering to race again it must perform a satisfactory gallop in the presence of an ERA veterinary officer and lodge a veterinary report stating that DOLMEN (FR) is displaying a normal ECG after the gallop. The official gallop may only be performed fourteen (14) days after the event. NASRAAWY (USA) - (S Hitchcott): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have mild heat-stress. NOVA ROMA (GB) - (X Ziani): On return to scale the rider reported that the colt did not appreciate the turf surface. HARBOUR SPIRIT (FR) - (B Pinheiro): Bumped on jumping, then tightened for room shortly after. Held up for a clear running for a short distance when straightening. HOMESPIN (USA) - (R Ffrench): When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider reported that HOMESPIN (USA) did not appreciate the turf surface. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. QAADDIM (IRE) - (R Curatolo): On jumping stumbled, shifted out and bumped another runner. DALAALAAT (IRE) - (J Rosales): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. HARD TASKMASTER (IRE) - (A McLean): Held up for a clear run between the 400 metres until the approaching the 300 metres. MUDALLEL (IRE) - (S Al Balushi): Began awkwardly and bumped another runner.
