On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 900 metres ADLEH (AE)(J Rosales) shifted inwards when easing off the heels of AF DARA (AE)(T O’Shea), resulting in OTINA (FR) having to be steadied when tightened for room. Stewards advised J Rosales to exercise more care in a similar situation.

Raced wide without cover throughout. DHAFRA (AE) - (R Mullen): On jumping bumped by another runner. Over-raced in the early stages. Near the 400 metres had to be eased when tightened for room. AAHID AL KHALEDIAH II (SA) - (A Al Balushi): Lost its right fore-plate during the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr. H Alalawi was notified that the horse would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. AF ALAJAJ (FR) - (T O'Shea): Approaching the 300 metres was bumped by another runner AF MAJALIS (FR) - (R Dawson): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. ASHTON TOURETTES (FR) - (S Paiva): Approaching the 300 metres shifted in and bumped another runner. MARMARA XM (US) - (M Holmberg): Commenced awkwardly and bumped by another runner. ONLY SMOKE (US) - (S Al Balushi): Near the 400 metres shifted out when racing close to the heels of another runner. SHAWALL (AE) - (B Pinheiro): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for DHAFRA (AE)(R Mullen) being tightened for room near the 400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 400 metres ONLY SMOKE (US)(S Al Balushi) shifted out when racing close to the heels of HARRAB (FR)(A de Vries), which was weakening and also shifting outwards slightly, resulting in DHAFRA (AE) having to be eased when tightened for room by ONLY SMOKE (US). Apprentice S Al Balushi was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding.

Approaching the 1200 metres was crowded for room between runners. Raced in restricted room during the middle stages. Near the 600 metres had to be restrained when tightened for room. INTHAR (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. ALABER (AE) - (S Al Balushi): Near the 600 metres was taken inwards by another runner. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for ES GHAZI (AE)(S Hitchcott) being tightened for room near the 600 metres. On evidence and limited footage it was established that rounding the turn near the 600 metres AF ALAREEQ (AE)(A Al Balushi) shifted inwards onto ALABER (AE)(S Al Balushi), resulting in the horse being taken inwards onto BLUE DIAMOND (AE)(P Cosgrave), who had to be restrained. ES GHAZI (AE) which was racing to the inside of BLUE DIAMOND (AE) was then tightened for room and had to be restrained. The Stewards were of the opinion that the tendered evidence weighed heavily on the actions of apprentice A Al Balushi permitting his mount to shift inwards, however given the limited footage of the incident, gave Apprentice A Al Balushi the benefit of the doubt and issued him a reprimand under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding.

AL CAPONE MONLAU (FR) - (R Ffrench): Commenced awkwardly. On return to scale the rider advised that the horse hung right throughout. KAOLINA (US) - (J Santiago): Bumped on jumping. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for FERTILE DU CROATE (FR)(S Paiva) clipping the heels of another runner near the 1400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 1400 metres RB KINGS BAY (US)(A Al Balushi) shifted quickly inwards away from ASTRAL DEL SOL (FR)(R Dawson), resulting in FERTILE DU CROATE (FR)(S Paiva), who was following RB KINGS BAY (US) clipping the heels of that colt. The Stewards were of the view that the incident was of no fault of any rider, no action was taken other than to advise all riders to exercise more care in a similar situation.

CHIEFDOM (USA) - (R Ffrench): After arriving at the barrier, required its near hind-shoe to be refitted, as a result underwent a veterinary examination and passed suitable to start. On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding hung left throughout. RODAINI (USA) - (S Kirrane): Over-raced in the early stages. BOERHAN (GB) - (R Mullen): Shortly after the start bumped by another runner. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider advised that BOERHAN (GB) travelled well in the early and middle stages however when placed under pressure failed to respond to his riding. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the gelding’s performance. Trainer Mr. N Bachalard was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for BOERHAN (GB). FOR THE TOP (ARG) - (A Fresu): Over-raced in the early stages. FAMOUS WOLF (FR) - (S Al Balushi): Raced wide without cover in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the third occasion that FAMOUS WOLF (FR) had bled, acting on the provisions of 21B(c) Stewards advised Trainer Mr. Q Aboud that the gelding was now ineligible to start in any race in the UAE. MAILSHOT (USA) - (X Ziani): Shortly after the start shifted in and bumped another runner. SHAMIKH (USA) - (A de Vries): Slow to begin and bumped shortly after. DEEP INTRIGUE (GB) - (F Jara): Stood-flat footed and lost ground.
