ALMUSHREF (USA) - (A Fresu): On jumping shifted outwards. TEPUI (USA) - (A Al Balushi): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider advised that TEPUI (USA) raced flat throughout. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. MAQAADEER (GB) - (D O'Neill): Slow to begin. ROUGHER (USA) - (P Dobbs): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Passing the 1400 metres eased off the heels of another runner. AL BAREZ (USA) - (A M Al Balushi): Slow to begin. EMIRATES EMPIRE (IRE) - (M Rodrigues): Slow to begin. On return to scale the rider reported he dropped his whip near the 600 metres. LADY SNAZZ (USA) - (T O'Shea): Commenced awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner. Lay out rounding the turn near the 1200 metres. LAHMOOM (USA) - (J Santiago): Commenced awkwardly and shifted outwards. OBEYAAN (USA) - (S Hitchcott): Commenced awkwardly. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider advised that OBEYAAN (USA) resented the kickback throughout the race and failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in the right fore-leg. SA'ADA (USA) - (B Pinheiro): Commenced awkwardly and bumped another runner. General: Jockey D O’Neill (MAQAADEER (GB)) was advised to exercise more care when permitting his mount to shift ground, in that passing the 1400 metres he shifted inwards when insufficiently clear of ROUGHER (USA)(P Dobbs), resulting in that gelding having to be eased off heels.

LAW OF PEACE (GB) - (T O'Shea): Saddle had to be re-adjusted on arrival at the barriers. PREVENT (GB) - (S Al Balushi): A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. OKTALGANO (USA) - (X Ziani): Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. On return to scale the rider advised due to the colt being fractious in the barriers, OKTALGANO (USA) failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure rounding the turn. Trainer Mr. S bin Ghadayer was advised that prior to entering the colt to race again, it must complete two satisfactory stalls test. FALCON CLAWS (USA) - (G Buckell): Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Reared on jumping and lost considerable ground. Trainer Mr. D Watson was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. GOLD FACTORY (USA) - (J Santiago): Slow to begin. Near the 400 metres tightened for room. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for GOLD FACTORY (USA)(J Santiago) being tightened for room near the 400 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 400 metres GOLD FACTORY (USA) was held up for a clear run and when MOOLHIM (FR)(R Mullen) shifted ground outwards marginally, GOLD FACTORY (USA) improved into a tight run. Shortly after MOOLHIM (FR) rolled back inwards and as a result GOLD FACTORY (USA) was tightened for room and had to be eased. Taking into account the evidence tendered by J Santiago, who advised that there was insufficient room for GOLD FACTORY (USA) to improve into and as a result he elected to ease and shift outwards, Stewards reported the matter as a racing incident and advised both riders to exercise more care in a similar situation.
