On return to scale, an objection was lodged by Jockey R Mullen (ARIM W'RSAN (AE))(2nd Place)) against AF MUTAKAFEL (AE)(L Chimenes)(Winner) alleging interference near the 200 metres. After viewing the available video footage and taking evidence from both riders and respective Trainers, it was established that passing the 400 metres AF MUTAKAFEL (AE) shifted out resulting in ARIM W'RSAN (AE), having to steady and shift inwards. Further, approaching the 300 metres AF MUTAKAFEL (AE) lay inwards taking ARIM W’RSAN (AE) on an inwards course for short distance. In the opinion of the Stewards, when considering the official margin of a nose and that they were comfortably satisfied had the interference suffered to ARIM W'RSAN (AE) by AF MUTAKAFEL (AE) not occurred, that ARIM W’RSAN (AE) would have finished in front of that colt, the objection was upheld and correct weight was declared with ARIM W'RSAN (AE)(R Mullen) being named the winner and AF MUTAKAFEL (AE)(L Chimenes) being place 2nd. AF MUHEM (AE) - (D O'Neill): Slow to begin. ARIM W'RSAN (AE) - (R Mullen): Passing the 400 metres had to be steadied and shifted inwards. Approaching the 200 metres was taken inwards by another runner. DHALEEM A'THANI W'RSAN (AE) - (S Hitchcott): Slow to begin. DHARI W'RSAN (AE) - (R Dawson): Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Trainer Ms. J Wickham was advised that prior to entering the horse to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. JALAL AL REEF (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Lay in under pressure from the 600 metres. LEGOLAS FORTA (AE) - (J Rosales): Slow to begin. AF MUTAKAFEL (AE) - (L Chimenes): Lay in approaching the 200 metres. General: Apprentice L Chimenes (AF MUTAKAFEL (AE)) was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in that, passing the 400 metres he shifted outwards resulting in ARIM W'RSAN (AE) having to be steadied and shift inwards. Further approaching the 200 metres AF MUTAKAFEL (AE) lay inwards taking ARIM W’RSAN (AE) on an inwards course for short distance.

Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 12:53pm. Trainer Mr. D Watson was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for DANGEROUS THOUGHT (USA). TOP MISSION (GB) - (B Pinheiro): Had a tendency to lay in throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr. B Al Shamsi was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer.

RIGHT FLANK (USA) - (P Dobbs): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider advised that RIGHT FLANK (USA) never travelled well throughout and failed to respond to his riding throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have atrial fibrillation and to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr. D Watson was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. Further, Mr. D Watson was notified that prior to the gelding entering to race again it must perform a satisfactory gallop in the presence of an ERA veterinary officer and lodge a veterinary report stating that RIGHT FLANK (USA) is displaying a normal ECG after the gallop. The official gallop may only be performed fourteen (14) days after the event. ARABIAN MOON (GB) - (A Al Balushi): Raced wide without cover throughout. GOLD FACTORY (USA) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin. LADY SNAZZ (USA) - (T O'Shea): Over-raced in the early stages and approaching the 1800 metres had to be eased off the heels of another runner. On return to scale the rider advised that the mare raced flat throughout. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. KUCHISABISHII (USA) - (J Santiago): Saddle had to be re-adjusted on arrival at the barrier. Raced wide without cover for the majority. ROUGHER (USA) - (G Buckell): On arrival at the barrier underwent a veterinary examination after being kicked by MEQDAM (IRE) and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 3:46pm. A follow-up veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a cut to its left hind-leg. FRASERBURGH (IRE) - (X Ziani): On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding had a tendency to hang left throughout. MAZEED (USA) - (B Pinheiro): Lay out rounding the turn near the 1000 metres. Lay in under pressure in the straight. General: Apprentice G Sanchez (CELESTIAL SPHERES (IRE)) was reprimanded, under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(i) for hitting his mount in front of the saddle whilst holding the whip in the forehand. Stewards took into account that this was G Sanchez’s first breach of this Rule for the season.
