MIND MAPPING (USA) - (F Jara): On arrival at the barrier underwent a veterinary examination on the request of its rider and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 2:57pm. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the left hind-leg. Trainer Mr. H Al Hamida was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for MIND MAPPING (USA). TENBURY WELLS (USA) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider advised that TENBURY WELLS (USA) travelled well in the early and middle stages, however stopped quickly when placed under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the gelding’s performance. GENTILE BELLINI (GB) - (A Fresu): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the horse, the rider advised that GENTILE BELLINI (GB) raced flat throughout and did not appreciate the short time between runs. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. LOST EDEN (IRE) - (A Atzeni): Raced wide without cover for the majority. RARE NINJA (USA) - (X Ziani): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the colt, the rider advised that he was instructed to take up a forward position and RARE NINJA (USA) commenced to weaken near the 800 metres when placed under pressure, however again made good ground over the concluding stages when eased out of the kickback. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be mildly lame in the right fore-leg.

MAQTAL (USA) - (G Buckell): Approaching the 800 metres was bumped by another runner and raced in restricted room. ARROWAY (USA) - (X Ziani): Slow to begin and lost ground. ANIZZAH (GB) - (R Dawson): Lay out rounding the home turn from the 1200 metres. LADY SNAZZ (USA) - (S Al Balushi): Approaching the 800 metres shifted outwards and bumped another runner. DARK OF NIGHT (IRE) - (A Fresu): Marginally slow to begin. Approaching the 800 metres bumped by another runner and became unbalanced. General: Trainer Mr. S bin Ghadayer (ATTRIBUTION (USA)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late equipment change to race the gelding with cheekpieces and a shadow roll. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 800 metres LADY SNAZZ (USA)(S Al Balushi) shifted outwards tightening and bumping MAQTAL (USA)(G Buckell) out onto DARK OF NIGHT (IRE), that was bumped and became unbalanced. Apprentice S Al Balushi was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding, for permitting his mount to shift outwards.
