EXPRESSIONIST (IRE) - (P Cosgrave): Bumped on jumping. Approaching the 300 shifted when held up for a clear run out and bumped mother runner. Passing the 200 meres was taken inwards by another runner, being held up and bumping another runner. SHAJJY (IRE) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly. RAAHY (GB) - (S Al Balushi): Commenced awkwardly, then shifted in and bumped another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr. J Ramadahan was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. FAWAAREQ (IRE) - (J Crowley): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. Approaching the 400 metres bumped by another runner. Lay inwards under pressure over the final 300 metres. DAVY LAMP (GB) - (R Powell): Reared on jumping, then tightened for room and lost ground. MAJOR CINNAMON (USA) - (F Jara): Commenced awkwardly. Lay in throughout. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for FAWAAREQ (IRE)(J Crowley) being bumped passing the 300 metres and RICH AND FAMOUS (USA)(R Ffrench) being bumped and restrained near the 200 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that passing the 300 metres EXPRESSIONIST (IRE)(P Cosgrave), when held up for a clear run, shifted out and bumped FAWAAREQ (IRE). Shortly after EXPRESSIONIST (IRE) shifted inwards to obtain a clear run, however RAAHY (GB)(S Al Balushi), who was racing in front of EXPRESSSIONIST (IRE), commenced to shift inwards, thereby by taking EXPRESSIONIST (IRE) on an inwards course and bumping with RICH AND FAMOUS (USA), which had to be restrained. P Cosgrave and S Al Balushi were both reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding.

A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the performance of the mare.
