Stewards' Reports for Al Falah
MURAFIQ AL KHALEDIAH (SA) - (S Al Balushi): On jumping was bumped another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr. K Al Neyadi was notified that the horse would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. AF JANJIL (AE) - (A Fresu): The horse was re-saddled on arrival at the barrier. Approaching the 1000 metres bumped on the hind-quarters by another runner and lost ground. AH ROMAN (AE) - (G Sanchez): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. Lay out under pressure near the 150 metres. JUMOUH NF (FR) - (A Al Balushi): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. NUHAT W'RSAN (AE) - (S Hitchcott): Raced ungenerously in the early stages and approaching the 1000 metres had to be restrained when tightened for room. ABJAR BAYNOONAH (SA) - (S Paiva): On jumping was by bumped another runner and lost ground. On return to scale the rider advised that the colt raced ungenerously in the early stages, proving difficult to control and for this reason he eased the colt out of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to have a minor laceration to the nostril. AF ALZAHI (FR) - (T O'Shea): On jumping shifted out abruptly. MH FRENCHY D'EPINETTE (FR) - (G Buckell): On jumping was by bumped another runner. Near the 1000 metres was tightened for room and bumped another runner on multiple occasions before clipping the heels of another runner and having to be severely restrained, losing considerable ground. SYVALEREU AL MAURY (FR) - (P Cosgrave): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. Near the 1000 bumped and taken in by another runner resulting in the colt having to be checked off the heels of another runner. AF TAHOON (AE) - (R Dawson): Slow to begin. MADDAH AL REEF (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout. HOB SEDDIQ (AE) - (R Powell): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. Over-raced in the early stages. Lay out under pressure in the straight. BSHARA (FR) - (R Mullen): Commenced awkwardly. In the early stages lay inwards away from another runner, then continued to lay inwards throughout. General: Trainer Mr. A Al Mehairbi (SYVALEREU AL MAURY (FR)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late equipment change to race the colt with blinkers. Trainer Mr. A Daud (ABJAR BAYNOONAH (SA)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 63A(iii) for presenting the colt on track without any hind shoes. Stewards permitted ABJAR BAYNOONAH (SA) to race as there was insufficient time to have the colt shod. Stewards inquired into the reason for MH FRENCHY D'EPINETTE (FR)(G Buckell) clipping the heels of another runner passing the 1000 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that passing the 1000 metres AH ROMAN (AE)(G Sanchez) shifted inwards taking BSHARA (FR)(R Mullen) on an inwards course. This resulted in NUHAT W'RSAN (AE)(S Hitchcott) being tightened for room and having to be restrained. MH FRENCHY D'EPINETTE (FR) which was racing to the inside of NUHAT W’RSAN (AE) clipped that horses heels, having to be severely restrained and losing considerable ground. Further, AF JANJIL (AE)(A Fresu) and SYVALEREU AL MAURY (FR)(P Cosgrave) where both interfered in this incident. Stewards noted that BSHARA (FR) had been laying inwards away from AH ROMAN (AE) during the incident and for this reason could not be comfortably satisfied that Apprentice G Sanchez was fully responsible for the incident. Stewards were not of the view that AH ROMAN (AE) was hanging inwards in the early stages as advised by G Sanchez and that he would be expected to correct his mount from shifting ground in a similar incident. G Sanchez was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding.

Stewards' Reports for Wathba Stallions Cup For Private Owners Only
Correct weight was delayed due to an objection being lodged by ERA Steward Mr. Taylor Wilson against RB SUPER DUTY (US)(G Buckell), which was placed 3rd, alleging interference in the straight to AL SUHOOJ (AE)(S Al Balushi), which was placed 4th. After viewing the video footage and taking evidence from both riders and respective Trainers, it was established that in the straight RB SUPER DUTY (US) was hanging outwards and bumped AL SUHOOJ (AE) on several occasions. During the deliberation period, Mr. Wilson was requested to leave the Stewards room and was not included in the decision process. Taking into account the finishing margin of a nose, in the opinion of the Stewards they were satisfied that had the interference not occurred to AL SUHOOJ (AE) the horse would have finished in 3rd place, therefore the objection was upheld, and the placing amended to: 1st - AF MUSANNEF (AE) 2nd - ASTRAL DEL SOL (FR) 3rd - AL SUHOOJ (AE) 4th - RB SUPER DUTY (US) Correct weight was subsequently declared on the amended placings. RB SUPER DUTY (US) - (G Buckell): Bumped on jumping. Hung out under pressure in the straight and bumped another runner on several occasions, despite the efforts of its rider. GOLD SILVER (FR) - (S Paiva): Near the 100 metres, when laying, the rider stopped riding to straighten his mount. TAMER (FR) - (G Sanchez): Bumped on jumping. AL SUHOOJ (AE) - (S Al Balushi): Slow to begin. On straightening was bumped by another runner on several occasions for the entire length of the straight. AF FALAQ (AE) - (B Pinheiro): On jumping brushed another runner. Rounding the home turn restrained off the heels of another runner. ALGHADEER (GB) - (A Al Balushi): Slow to begin. AF HAJEEJ (AE) - (M Holmberg): Fractious in the barrier prior to the start and reared. Eased off the heels away from another runner passing the 200 metres. ASTRAL DEL SOL (FR) - (R Dawson): Near the 500 metres shifted out abruptly when racing tight and bumped another runner. AF MOHANAK (AE) - (R Mullen): Rounding the home turn was bumped by another runner and take wider on the track. AF NAFECE (AE) - (M Staiti): Lay inwards in the straight. AF SEVEN SKIES (FR) - (J Santiago): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Rounding the home turn bumped by another runner. AL BATEEN (AE) - (J Rosales): Near the 500 metres when weakening was bumped by another runner and became unbalanced. AL CAPONE MONLAU (FR) - (R Ffrench): On jumping brushed another runner. Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. Rounding the home turn shifted out away from the heels of another runner. NO RISK AT ALL (NL) - (F Jara): Bumped on jumping. Rounding the home turn when improving shifted out and bumped another runner. Near the 100 metres shifted out abruptly. SSR GHAZWAN (OM) - (A Fresu): Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Commenced awkwardly. Rounding the home turn when commencing to improve, shifted outward taking another runner wider on the track. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for AF FALAQ (AE)(B Pinheiro) having to be restrained rounding the home turn. On the evidence and available footage it was established that rounding the home turn SSR GHAZWAN (OM)(A Fresu) shifted outwards marginally, resulting in AL CAPONE MONLAU (FR)(R Ffrench) being taken outwards and bumping AF MOHANAK (AE)(R Mullen), that shifted outwards resulting in AF FALAQ (AE) having to be restrained off the heels of RB DUPER DUTY (US)(G Buckell). A Fresu was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding and was advised to exercise more care in a similar situation.
