AF SUMOUD (AE) - (S Hitchcott): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. HORGANZA (FR) - (S Kirrane): On arrival at the barrier underwent a veterinary examination on the request of its rider and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the mare at 2:37pm. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame right fore-leg. Trainer Mr. I Aseel was advised that prior to the mare entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for HORGANZA (FR). AF MEEQAT (AE) - (R Dawson): Near the 300 metres shifted outwards taking another runner wider on the track. BINT ALAIN (AE) - (S Paiva): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. MAKTOOB (AE) - (A Al Balushi): Slow to begin. KAOLINA (US) - (J Santiago): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. General: Jockey T O’Shea (AF YENOMES (AE)) was fined AED 3000, under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(a) for using the whip to excess, in that he used it on 14 occasions. Stewards took into account that this was T O’Shea’s second breach of this Rule for the season and that he won the race.

AF ASHAM (AE) - (R Dawson): On jumping was bumped by another runner on several occasions. JAP AL YARHA (AE) - (R Ffrench): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner on several occasions. NAJEM AL RWASI (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Commenced awkwardly. AF MUATAQ (AE) - (T O'Shea): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. RAHI (AE) - (S Paiva): Commenced awkwardly. When questioned regarding his riding of the gelding, particularly over the final 200 metres, the rider advised that RAHI (AE) hung left severely throughout prevented him from riding the gelding out in his normal manner. SAMA BLADI (AE) - (J Santiago): After arriving on course flipped over and as a result underwent a veterinary examination, being deemed unsuitable to race when found to be lame in the right fore-leg. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the horse at 2:37pm. Trainer Mr. Y bin Ghilan was advised that prior to entering the horse to race again it must pass a suitability examination conducted by an ERA Veterinarian.
