BETHWEH A'THANIEH W'RSAN (AE) - (S Hitchcott): Bumped on the hind-quarters by another runner. BINT ALAIN (AE) - (F Jara): Bumped on jumping and taken outwards by another runner. JAP MABROKA (AE) - (R Ffrench): Shortly after he start hampered between runner and lost ground. JAP MARFA (AE) - (P Dobbs): Raced keen in the early stages. NAZAA (AE) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly and was bumped between runners. HUTOOF (AE) - (R Mullen): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. Raced wide without cover in the early stages. On return to scale the rider reported that the filly hung out throughout. MAATHAB AL MEGIRAT (AE) - (S Paiva): Commenced awkwardly, shifted out and lost ground. SOUKAINAH (AE) - (S Martino): Marginally slow to begin, was bumped between runners and lost ground. ZOUBAIDAH (AE) - (R Scott): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. General: Apprentice L Chimenes (AF ABAYEH (AE)) was reprimanded, under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(vii) for using his whip in consecutive strides on two occasions. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account that this was L Chimenes’s first breach of this Rule for the season. Apprentice M Rodrigues (ADLEH (AE)(M Rodrigues)) pled guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), in that passing the 200 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of AF ABAYEH (AE)(L Chimenes), tightening that mare and having to be restrained. Apprentice M Rodrigues had his license to ride in races suspended for three (3) race meetings (Al Ain 11 March 2022, Jebel Ali 12 March 2022 and Sharjah 13 March 2022). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account Apprentice M Rodrigues’s forthright evidence, good careless riding record and guilty plea.

When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider advised that ABOVE NORMAL (GB) never travelled well throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the left fore-leg. Trainer Mr. A Al Shemaili was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for ABOVE NORMAL (GB). NASHWAAN (FR) - (S Martino): Commenced awkwardly and shifted out. Approaching the 200 metres had to be eased when momentarily tightened for room between runners. When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider advised that after commencing awkwardly the horse appeared stiff behind and never travelled well throughout the race, resulting in him easing BISHARA AL REEF (AE) down passing the 800 metres.
