When questioned regarding the performance of the colt, Trainer Mr. D Watson advised that HERO D’ORO (USA) would improve for having his first run after a lengthy break. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to have a small abrasion to its left foreleg. JUST YOU WAIT (GB) - (A Fresu): Lay out under pressure in the straight. ROSADO (IRE) - (R Dawson): Shortly after the start was bumped by another runner. BRONTOLOGY (IRE) - (R Ffrench): Raced wide leaving the straight and for the remainder of the race. JACKSONVILLE (GB) - (R Mullen): Slow to begin. Shortly after the start was bumped by another runner and lost ground. PANOSHOSHIC (USA) - (X Ziani): Shortly after the start shifted out and bumped another runner. Had a tendency to lay out from the 800 metres.

A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. SYMBOLIC POWER (GB) - (S Al Balushi): Shortly after the start bumped another runner. DOUBLE ORB (USA) - (S Hitchcott): Raced wide without cover throughout. MILLER'S HOUSE (USA) - (T O'Shea): On jumping was bumped on the hind-quarter by another runner. Near the 1400 metres was bumped on the hind-quarter and severely unbalanced. AL MUREIB (IRE) - (R Dawson): On jumping was bumped by another runner, shifted in and bumped the hind-quarter of another runner. Near the 1400 metres was severely inconvenienced when bumped by another runner. HYDE PARK (GB) - (X Ziani): Shortly after the start was bumped by another runner. MONOSKI (USA) - (R Ffrench): Anticipated the start, began awkwardly and lost ground. WELCOME SURPRISE (IRE) - (S Paiva): On jumping was bumped by another runner. Raced wide without cover throughout. MAJOR CINNAMON (USA) - (A de Vries): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding hung out throughout and appeared to be very sensitive in the mouth. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. SENDEED (IRE) - (S Kirrane): On jumping was bumped by another runner. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for MILLER'S HOUSE (USA)(T O'Shea) being bumped on the hind-quarter near the 1400 metres and becoming severely unbalanced. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 1400 metres MILLER'S HOUSE (USA) was bumped on the hind-quarter, becoming severely unbalanced and shifting outwards, tightening the running of AL MUREIB (IRE)(R Dawson), which was severely inconvenienced and bumped CELTIC STRIKER (USA)(P Dobbs). As Stewards could not attribute blame to any one rider, it was reported as a racing incident and all the riders were advised to exercise more care in a similar situation.
