The start of the race was delayed by approximately 4 minutes due to the late change of rider for AF ALAREEQ (AE). PHARITZ FAHR (GB) - (F Jara): Acting on a confirmed telephone call from the Trainer Mr. O Aashour that the horse truck was experiencing difficulties and would be unable to arrive by designated time Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the horse at 3:27pm. SHOJA'A MUSCAT (OM) - (S Al Balushi): Began awkwardly. AF MUSANNEF (AE) - (T O'Shea): Began awkwardly. When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider advised that AF MUSANNEF (AE) did not appreciate the soft ground and may be tired from recent racing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. MROUWAH AL GHARBIA (AE) - (A Fresu): On jumping was bumped on the hind-quarters by another runner. GOLD SILVER (FR) - (S Hitchcott): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. AF YAKHTEM (AE) - (M Rodrigues): Shortly after the start shifted in and bumped another runner.
