STORY OF LIGHT (IRE) - (R Dawson): Marginally slow to begin and was bumped by another runner. On return to scale the rider advised that the action of the gelding was not consisted throughout the race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. ZAINHOM (USA) - (D O'Neill): Near the 1000 metres, when racing keen had to be eased of the heels of another runner. MUTAFAWWIG (GB) - (L Dettori): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. QUINTILLUS (GB) - (M Barzalona): Slow to begin and brushed another runner. Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages and had to be eased off the heels of another runner approaching the 1000 metres. Held up for a clear run in the early part of the straight. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for PLATA O PLOMO (USA)(F Jara) losing ground near the 1000 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 1000 metres PLATA O PLOMO (USA) commenced to give ground when racing tight between COULD BE KING (GB)(A Fresu) and ZAINHOM (USA)(D O'Neill), which shifted out marginally when racing close to the heels of SANARY (GB)(P Graberg). Stewards noted the evidence tendered by F Jara that the gelding was not comfortable on the turf surface, having only its second start on turf. As the Stewards were of the view that no rider was at fault, the matter was reported as a racing incident.

SALUTE THE SOLDIER (GER) - (A de Vries): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. Near the 1400 metres was bumped heavily by another runner on several occasions. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider advised that SALUTE THE SOLDIER (GER) will take benefit from having its second start for the season. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame right fore-leg and was found to be coughing. REBEL'S ROMANCE (IRE) - (W Buick): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider advised that REBEL'S ROMANCE (IRE) never travelled well throughout. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 1400 metres that DUBAI ICON (GB)(L Dettori) shifted out to establish a clear run and to do bumped heavily on several occasions with SALUTE THE SOLDIER (GER). L Dettori was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), for careless riding and was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 8:55pm. Trainer Mr. M Al Mheiri was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the left fore-leg. Further Mr. M Al Mheiri was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for ALFAREEQ (IRE). BEDOUIN'S STORY (GB) - (L Dettori): Slow to begin. COURT HOUSE (IRE) - (A Atzeni): Raced wide without cover in the middle stages. ENEMY (GB) - (T O'Shea): Commenced awkwardly. FREESCAPE (GB) - (P Dobbs): Rounding the turn near the 700 metres was restrained when racing in restricted room and close to the heels of another runner. Approaching the 200 metres was momentarily disappointed for a clear run and had to shift ground inwards. LORD GLITTERS (FR) - (D Tudhope): Slow to begin. PASSION AND GLORY (IRE) - (P Cosgrave): Raced wide without cover in the early stages. Near the 200 metres was bumped by another runner. ROYAL FLEET (GB) - (J Doyle): Approaching the 200 metres shifted inwards and bumped another runner. On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding had a tendency to hang left in the straight. SIR BUSKER (IRE) - (C Shepherd): Approaching the 200 metres was tightened for room and had to be eased. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for SIR BUSKER (IRE)(C Shepherd) being tightened for room approaching the 200 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 200 metres ROYAL FLEET (GB)(J Doyle) shifted inwards when hanging, tightening SIR BUSKER who had to be eased (IRE). ROYAL FLEET (GB) continued to shift inwards and bump PASSION AND GLORY (IRE)(P Cosgrave). Stewards noted ROYAL FLEET (GB) was hanging left and that J Doyle had made some effort to straighten the gelding when shifting ground. J Doyle was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), for careless riding and was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. Jockey D O’Neill (ALFAREEQ (IRE)) was examined by the Club’s Medical Doctor and was deemed unfit to fulfil to his remaining engagement for the night.

AL TARIQ (FR) - (P Dobbs): Saddle was re-adjusted on arrival at the barrier. On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. EJTILAAB (IRE) - (C Shepherd): Bumped on jumping. FREEDOM FIGHTER (USA) - (T O'Shea): Raced wide without cover in the early stages. IBN MALIK (IRE) - (R Dawson): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding hung right throughout. MERAAS (GB) - (A Fresu): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. Lay out under pressure in the straight. POSITIVITY (USA) - (W Buick): On jumping was tightened for between runners and lost ground. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, the rider advised that POSITIVITY (USA) failed to show any speed in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
