BIN MUHAARAR (GB) - (A de Vries): Commenced awkwardly. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider advised that BIN MUHAARAR (GB) raced freely in the early stages and then stopped quickly. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the gelding’s performance. Trainer Mr. F Nass was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for BIN MUHAARAR (GB). BOSPHORUS (GB) - (D O'Neill): Slow to begin. HARVEST GOLD (IRE) - (G Buckell): On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding raced green throughout. KING OF THE NITE (USA) - (P Dobbs): On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding hung right over the final 200 metres. LAKE CAUSEWAY (USA) - (T O'Shea): Commenced awkwardly. LINE OF SUNSHINE (IRE) - (M Barzalona): On arrival at the barrier underwent a veterinary examination on the request of its rider and was deemed unsuitable to race due to LINE OF SUNSHINE (IRE) being lame in the right fore-leg. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 2:59pm. Trainer Mr. S bin Ghadayer was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again it must pass a suitability examination conducted by an ERA Veterinarian. MY VISION (GB) - (P Cosgrave): Slow to begin. SULTAN AL NEELAIN (IRE) - (S Paiva): Near the 200 metres was bumped by another runner. Lay out under pressure over the concluding stages. TERRAIN (GB) - (B Pinheiro): Slow to begin. TORRKEE (FR) - (R Mullen): Was held up for a clear run passing the 300 metres. Approaching the 200 metres had to be restrained when awkwardly placed on the heels of another runner. ZAHAU (USA) - (A Fresu): On return to scale the rider advised that the gelding hung right throughout and over the concluding stages he was obliged to stop riding due to the gelding’s racing manners. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. BLACK MARK (USA) - (R Powell): Marginally slow to begin. On return to scale the rider advised that the colt hung left throughout. MUTHEER (USA) - (R Ffrench): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. WATANY (USA) - (V Leal): Commenced awkwardly. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for TORRKEE (FR)(R Mullen) having to be restrained approaching the 200 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that approaching the 200 metres ZAHAU (USA)(A Fresu) shifted outwards taking TORRKEE (FR) outwards, resulting in that colt bumping SULTAN AL NEELAIN (IRE)(S Paiva) and having to be restrained. Stewards took into account the evidence tendered by A Fresu that ZAHAU (USA) was hanging right and that it was evident that he had attempted to straighten his mount. Further, when TORRKEE (FR) committed for a run to the outside of ZAHAU (USA), the gelding had already commenced to hang outwards. A Fresu was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding for permitting his mount to shift ground.

WESTERN SYMPHONY (IRE) - (P Cosgrave): Bumped another runner on several occasions shortly after the start. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted today, where the gelding led by a considerable margin throughout the race, rider P Cosgrave reported that connections did not give him specific instructions prior to the race, however WESTERN SYMPHONY (IRE) began well and commenced to over-race, resulting in him allowing the gelding to have its head and stride forward. P Cosgrave added that with the addition of blinkers on for the first time, a change to the turf surface for the first time since 18 June 2021, a step up in distance compared to the most recent start, as well as no other runner willing to lead, all conspired to have WESTERN SYMPHONY (IRE) leading today. BOSTON GEORGE (IRE) - (P Dobbs): Marginally slow to begin. On straightening bumped another runner. KING OF ARMS (GB) - (M Barzalona): Bumped another runner on several occasions shortly after the start. On straightening bumped another runner. Held up for a clear run in the early part of the straight. Lay in under pressure in the straight. VERDERON (IRE) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages. GREELEY (IRE) - (A Al Balushi): Raced wide without cover for the majority.
