When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider advised that after placing AL NEFUD (GB) under pressure in the back straight to maintain its position within the field, the gelding appeared uncomfortable in its action and for this reason he eased his mount down rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the right hind-leg. Trainer Mr. B Seemar was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. Further Mr. B Seemar was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for AL NEFUD (GB). BANKIT (USA) - (J Ortiz): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. BATHRAT LEON (JPN) - (R Sakai): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. MERAAS (GB) - (A Fresu): Following several veterinary inspections during the week leading into the race and again on Saturday, 26th of March 2022, the ERA Dubai World Cup Veterinary Committee found MERAAS (GB) to be lame in the left fore-leg and as such was withdrawn on veterinary advice. FINEST SOUND (IRE) - (A Atzeni): Prior to the race on Wednesday, 23rd of March 2022, the ERA World Cup Veterinary Committee found FINEST SOUND (IRE) to be lame in the left fore-leg and as such was withdrawn on veterinary advice. Trainer Mr. S Crisford was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for FINEST SOUND (IRE). HAQEEQY (IRE) - (A de Vries): Commenced awkwardly, was bumped by another runner and lost ground. HARROVIAN (GB) - (J Doyle): Brushed another runner passing the 400 metres. LORD GLITTERS (FR) - (D Tudhope): Prior to the race on Friday, 25th of March 2022, the ERA World Cup Veterinary Committee found LORD GLITTERS (FR) to be lame in the left fore-leg and was as such withdrawn on veterinary advice. Trainer Mr. D O’Meara was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for LORD GLITTERS (FR). MOHAAFETH (IRE) - (J Crowley): Slow to begin (5 lengths). MY OBERON (IRE) - (T Marquand): Marginally slow to begin and lost ground. SCHNELL MEISTER (GER) - (C Lemaire): Brushed another runner passing the 400 metres. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the colt, the rider advised that SCHNELL MEISTER (GER) travelled well in the early and middle stages and when placed under pressure failed to pick up. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. SIR BUSKER (IRE) - (W Buick): Marginally slow to begin. URSA MINOR (IRE) - (R Dawson): Raced wide without cover leaving the back straight.

The start of the race was delayed by approximately 6 minutes due to ALENQUER (FR) having to have its left stirrup replaced, which had become dislodged whilst proceeding to the barrier. FOR THE TOP (ARG) - (A Fresu): Raced keen in the early stages. HUKUM (IRE) - (J Crowley): Bumped on jumping. Near the 50 metres was bumped by another runner. KASPAR (GER) - (R Ferreira): On jumping taken out by another runner, shifted out and brushed another runner. PYLEDRIVER (GB) - (L Dettori): On jumping shifted out and tightened another runner. Raced keen in the early and middle stages. Held up for clear running and unable to improve from the 300 metres until approaching the 150 metres. WITHOUT A FIGHT (IRE) - (A Atzeni): Bumped shortly after the start. ALENQUER (FR) - (T Marquand): Bumped on jumping. Near the 50 metres shifted out when under pressure and bumped another runner. Lay out under pressure rounding the home turn and brushed another runner. GROCER JACK (GER) - (T Marquand): On Monday, 21st of March 2022, the ERA World Cup Veterinary Committee had concerns regarding lameness in the left fore-leg of GROCER JACK (GER) and requested further veterinary reports from the Stable. On Thursday, 24th of March 2022, Trainer Mr. W Haggas requested to withdraw GROCER JACK (GER) due to lameness in its left fore-leg. Trainer Mr. W Haggas was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for GROCER JACK (GER).
