Other Comments / Explanations Prior to the commencement of the today’s race meeting, Trainer Mr. J de Roualle advised the ERA of the incorrect weight issued to DAREEN (FR) in Race 3. On investigation it was established that DAREEN (FR) had been incorrectly registered as a horse and after being inspected on course it was confirmed to be a mare. In accordance with the conditions of the race, fillies and mares are allowed a 2kg allowance and under the provisions of ERA Rule 18(i)(b), Stewards amended DAREEN (FR)’s weight from 62kg to 60kg. The ERA will review all recently registered horses to identify possible further irregularities. RB KINGS BAY (US) - (A M Al Balushi): Slow to begin. On return to scale the rider reported that the horse raced ungenerously throughout. SS RABAH (AE) - (I Al Balushi): On jumping bumped by another runner. RAYA (AE) - (J Santiago): On jumping bumped another runner and lost ground. Raced greenly in the early and middle stages. ZOUBAIDAH (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Commenced awkwardly. Lay out rounding the home turn and the early part of the straight. General: Jockey B Pinheiro (ZOUBAIDAH (AE)) pled guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), in that approaching the 400 metres he permitted his mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of AF ALSAREM (AE)(M Rodrigues), which had to be restrained and became severely unbalanced. B Pinheiro had his license to ride in races suspended for three (3) race meetings (Meydan 3 March 2022, Al Ain 4 March 2022 and Meydan 5 March 2022). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account B Pinheiro’s good careless riding record, guilty plea and assessed the carelessness to be in the low-range.
