General: Apprentice S Kirrane (RB SHARK (US)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 57(iv), for failing to ride at his minimum riding weight however, was allowed to claim 1.0kg of his allowance to ride at 55.5kg. Apprentice L Chimenes (AF MOBASHER (AE)) pled guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), in that approaching the 700 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of FERTILE DU CROATE (FR)(S Hitchcott), which had to be restrained. L Chimenes had his license to ride in races suspended for three (3) race meetings (Abu Dhabi 31 March 2022, Al Ain 1 April 2022 and a meeting in Brazil to be determined). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account L Chimenes’s forthright evidence, guilty plea and assessed the carelessness to be in the low-range.

WELCOME SURPRISE (IRE) - (G Sanchez): Began awkwardly. YURMAN (ARG) - (A de Vries): Slow to begin. CHOSEN MARK (IRE) - (S Al Balushi): Saddle had to be re-adjusted on arrival at the barrier. On arrival at the barrier underwent a veterinary examination after having blood present in its mouth and was passed suitable to race. QUIET ENDEAVOUR (IRE) - (S Hitchcott): Began awkwardly. SHARAMM (IRE) - (T O'Shea): Raced wide without cover for the majority. TRENCHES (USA) - (F Jara): A routine post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the gelding’s performance. Trainer Mr. A Daud was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for TRENCHES (USA). TREASURED TIMES (IRE) - (G Buckell): On jumping was bumped on the hind-quarters by another runner. When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider advised that TREASURED TIMES (IRE) never felt right in its action and for this reason he failed to ride his mount out to the end of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer Mr. R Bouresly was notified that prior to the horse entering to race again it must perform a satisfactory gallop in the presence of an ERA veterinary officer and lodge a veterinary report stating that TREASURED TIMES (IRE) is displaying a normal ECG after the gallop. The official gallop may only be performed fourteen (14) days after the event. ONE VISION (IRE) - (S Martino): Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner. MINIATURIST (FR) - (B Pinheiro): Near the 1200 metres was momentarily placed in restricted room.
