A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. EMDAKAM (GB) - (A Fresu): Fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Slow to begin. RAKEEZ (GB) - (P Cosgrave): On jumping, shifted out and had to be steadied off the heels of another runner. AL MAROOM (USA) - (S Kirrane): Near the 300 metres brushed another runner. Over the concluding shifted inwards under pressure.

JACKSA (USA) - (S Kirrane): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. Near the 1200 metres had to be eased when racing tight between runners. RA'AD (USA) - (T O'Shea): Bumped on jumping. Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. ANTONIO VIVALDI (IRE) - (A Fresu): On jumping was bumped between runners. Refused to race and pulled up, shortly after the start. Trainer Mr. M Al Mheiri was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, the gelding must complete two successive satisfactory stalls tests. KNOCKSHRINE (IRE) - (S Kirrane): Bumped on jumping, shifted out and bumped another runner. LAA BAAS (USA) - (R Mullen): Began awkwardly and was bumped shortly after the start. LINE OF SUNSHINE (IRE) - (R Ffrench): Began awkwardly. Bumped another runner losing ground shortly after straightening. ZAHAU (USA) - (P Cosgrave): Bumped on jumping, shifted out and bumped another runner. On straightening bumped by another runner. Raced wide without cover for the majority. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for LINE OF SUNSHINE (IRE)(R Ffrench) being bumped and losing ground shortly after straightening. On the evidence and available footage it was established that on straightening LINE OF SUNSHINE (IRE) shifted out marginally when commencing to weaken and bumped ZAHAU (USA)(P Cosgrave), which was momentarily unbalanced between that gelding and DISCOVERY ISLAND (GB)(T O'Shea) which had shifted out to improve. In the circumstances Stewards took no direct action other than to remind the riders to exercise care when shifting ground in future.
