General: Following the running of the race, several riders expressed concern regarding the safety of the track, particularly about the visibility throughout the race after heavy rainfall. Stewards conducted a track inspection, with club officials and a delegation of senior riders, with the area of concern being shortly after the winning post where significant surface water was present. The club commenced remedial work, however following further rain and additional concern being raised by Trainers, the meeting was postponed until Wednesday January 11th, 2023, where the remainder of the card will be completed.
