MEEQAT (AE) - (Saif Al Balushi): Lay inwards under pressure over the concluding stages. AF SOQRAT (AE) - (T O'Shea): When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider advised that AF SOQRAT (AE) was having its first start after a long break and will take benefit for today’s race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of mucus which may have affected the gelding’s performance. AF HUKOOMA (AE) - (R Dawson): Slow to begin. Passing the 400 metres brushed another runner. AF ARRAB (AE) - (M Rodrigues): Bumped on jumping. ES NAHAAM (AE) - (A Fresu): Passing the 400 metres brushed another runner. ALABER (AE) - (A Al Balushi): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the left front-leg. Trainer Mr. O Darag was advised that prior to entering the horse to race again it must pass a suitability examination conducted by an ERA Veterinarian. AZAZI (AE) - (G Malune): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. General: Jockey O Chavez (AF AL ASEF (AE)) was reprimanded, under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(ii) for using the whip when his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Stewards took into account that this was O Chavez’s first breach of this Rule for the season.

BOOK REVIEW (GB) - (R Ffrench): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. DARAMETHOS (IRE) - (A Fresu): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr. M Al Mheiri was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. FOR THE TOP (ARG) - (B Pinheiro): Stumbled on jumping. Lost its right hind-plate during the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the second occasion FOR THE TOP (ARG) has bled, acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr. M Al Mheiri was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 90 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA stewards or veterinary officer. LOST EDEN (IRE) - (P Dobbs): Approaching the 800 metres was bumped by another runner RAKEEZ (GB) - (T O'Shea): Reared on jumping. Approaching the 800 metres shifted in and bumped another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in the right hind-leg, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of mucus which may have affected the gelding’s performance.

On return to scale, Jockey J Van Overmeire (ALHZEEM (USA)), who placed 2nd, requested to view the Stewards video footage prior to correct weight with Trainer Mr. M Costa. On reviewing the video footage Mr. M Costa lodged an objection alleging interference over the concluding stages against the winner GREEN JACKET (USA)(T O'Shea). After taking evidence from both riders and respective Trainers, and viewing the available video footage, it was established that approaching the 150 metres GREEN JACKET (USA) shifted outwards marginally, resulting in ALHZEEM (USA) being taken outwards. In the opinion of the Stewards, considering the beaten margin of head, they could not be comfortably satisfied, had the interference not occurred to ALHZEEM (USA), that it would have beaten GREEN JACKET (USA). As a result, the objection was dismissed, and correct weight declared. ALHZEEM (USA) - (J Van Overmeire): On jumping bumped another runner and lost ground. Near the 150 metres was taken outwards by another runner. EAST COAST ROAD (IRE) - (Q Al Busaidi): Bumped on jumping. Approaching the 400 metres was tightened for room between runners. KUCHISABISHII (USA) - (X Ziani): Slow to begin. MAC FI BARELIERE (FR) - (A Al Balushi): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. MOUNT MARCY (IRE) - (B Pinheiro): Slow to begin.
