Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr. K Al Neyadi was notified that the horse would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. SOMOUD (FR) - (D O'Neill): Commenced awkwardly. WMA FORTE (US) - (S Paiva): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have blood present in one nostril. A subsequent endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the performance of WMA FORTE (US). Trainer Mr. A S Al Shamsi was advised that prior to entering the horse to race again, WMA FORTE (US) must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of an ERA Veterinarian. General: Jockey A Fresu (INDYS DAY (US)) was reprimanded, under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(vii) for using his whip in consecutive strides. In assessing the penalty, Stewards took into account that this was A Fresu’s first breach of this Rule for the season.
