ELJENOB (FR) - (J Van Overmeire): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, the rider could offer no explanation other than he felt as if ELJENOB (FR) had bled over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the performance of ELJENOB (FR). FABRIZIO (GB) - (B Pinheiro): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. On return to scale, the rider reported that the gelding made a respiratory noise over the final 200 metres and stopped quickly.
