TAKBEER XMNSOR (AE) - (P Cosgrave): After leaving the parade ring, dislodged its rider and galloped for a short distance before being captured. On arrival at the barrier underwent a veterinary examination and was passed suitable to start. Bumped on jumping, shifted out and bumped another runner. AF BARA'E (AE) - (S Al Balushi): Rider dropped his whip passing the 100 metres. ES GHAZI (AE) - (F Jara): Marginally slow to begin, tightened for room between runners and lost ground. NO RISK AT ALL (NL) - (R Mullen): Rider dislodged on the way to the barrier. Jockey R Mullen was examined by the Club’s Medical Doctor and was deemed unfit to start as a result, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the filly at 17:58pm. DASSAN DA (BE) - (J De Silva): Slow to begin General: Jockey Shakir Al Balushi (AF BARA'E (AE)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(i) for hitting his mount in front of the saddle whilst holding the whip in the forehand. Stewards took into account that this was S Al Balushi’s first breach of this Rule for the season.

FOR THE TOP (ARG) - (A Fresu): A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr. M Al Mheiri was notified that the gelding would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. PABLO ESCOBARR (IRE) - (R Mullen): Slow to begin. Had to be steadied passing the 1000 mts of the heels of another runner. JUMAIRA BAY (FR) - (P Dobbs): Held up for clear run in the straight. SENIORITY (GB) - (A de Vries): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. BOERHAN (GB) - (J Van Overmeire): Eased passing the 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils and as a result died. A post-mortem report will be performed on the gelding.
