AL QAQAA (USA) - (D O'Neill): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner CELESTIAL SPHERES (IRE) - (C Planas): After a confirmed phone call from the Assistant Trainer, stating that the gelding was lame in the right front-leg. Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 3:22pm. Trainer Mr. I Mohammed was advised that prior to the gelding entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for CELESTIAL SPHERES (IRE). AHESTA BERO (GB) - (J da Silva): Commenced awkwardly lost ground. MORDIN (IRE) - (R Ffrench): On jumping brushed by another runner. GARETH (IRE) - (R Dawson): Shortly after start brushed by another runner. Hung out severely throughout and rounding the home turn was taken out to the outside of the track, where the rider was unable to fully test his mount. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. ORIENTALISM (FR) - (X Ziani): Slow to begin. Had to be checked passing the winning post on the first occasion. SA'ADA (USA) - (S Paiva): Commenced awkwardly General: Stewards inquired into the reason for ORIENTALISM (FR)(X Ziani) being checked when tightened for room passing the winning post on the first occasion. On the evidence and available footage it was established that GARETH (IRE)(R Dawson) was racing ungenerously and passing the winning post on the first occasion the speed of the race steadied, resulting in MORDIN (IRE)(R Ffrench), who was also over-racing, racing close to the heels of GARETH (IRE), having to shift inwards and tighten the running of ORIENTALISM (FR), which had to be checked as a consequence. Although there were contributing factors to the incident, Jockey R Ffrench was advised to exercise more care in future when shifting ground. Accordingly it was reported it as a racing incident.
