PHARITZ AL DENARI (GB) - (J Santiago): Lay in under pressure in the straight. PHARITZ FAHR (GB) - (M Ghorli): Commenced awkwardly, shifted in and bumped another runner and lost ground. SIRAJJ (FR) - (Q Al Busaidi): Bumped on jumping. Near the 1500 metres was bumped by another runner. AF ALMOMAYAZ (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Commenced awkwardly. AF BAREEQ (FR) - (T O'Shea): Raced wide without cover for the majority. When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider advised that AF BAREEQ (FR) was obliged to race wide without cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. AF YEHEEB (AE) - (A Fresu): On jumping was bumped between runners. Near the 1500 metres shifted out and bumped another runner. Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have bled from both nostrils. Acting under the provisions of ERA Rule 21B(a)&(e), Trainer Mr. K Al Neyadi was notified that the horse would not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA Stewards or veterinary officer. AL AJEEB W'RSAN (AE) - (R Mullen): Commenced awkwardly. JAD AL MELS (FR) - (S Paiva): Commenced awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner. GHALLIEAH (AE) - (P Dobbs): When questioned regarding the performance of the mare, the rider advised that GHALLIEAH (AE) raced wide without cover in the early stages and then resented the kickback when racing behind other horses afterwards. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of mucus which may have affected the mare’s performance.

SEYAASI (USA) - (J Van Overmeire): Fractious in the barrier prior to the start, burrowed under the front of the barrier and dislodged its rider. Underwent a veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the colt at 8:55pm. A subsequent veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer Mr. S bin Ghadayer was advised that prior to entering the colt to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. MIND MAPPING (USA) - (R Scott): Saddle had to be re-adjusted on arrival at the barrier. Slow to begin. General: Jockey J Van Overmeire was examined by the Club’s Medical doctor and was deemed unfit to fulfil his remaining engagement.

SUGAR BOY (GER) - (J Van Overmeire): Due to Jockey J Van Overmeire not being able to fulfil his engagement and no suitable rider being available on course, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 9:14pm. General: Jockey P Cosgrave (LEADING SPIRIT (IRE)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69B(c)(i) for hitting his mount in front of the saddle whilst holding the whip in the forehand.
