Passing the 200 metres was tightened for room and had to momentarily stop riding. General: Jockey F Jara (ZAINHUM (AE)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding in that passing the 200 metres he shifted out when insufficiently clear of AL HAZEEZ (AE)(Saif Al Balushi), that was tightened for room and had to momentarily stop riding.

The start of the race was delayed by approximately 4 minutes due to the late withdrawal of RIM AL REEF (AE). AF ALZAHI (FR) - (M Rodrigues): Raced wide without cover throughout. AF MATHAKEEL (FR) - (T O'Shea): On jumping shifted out. ES SUDANI (AE) - (A Fresu): On jumping was bumped between runners. FAKHER AL MEGIRAT (AE) - (Saif Al Balushi): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. MM MAYAAR (AE) - (A Tiar): Commenced awkwardly. Raced keen in the early and middle stages. AF TAMHY (AE) - (F Jara): Difficult to load. Slow to begin. Pulled up in the early stages of the race. Trainer Mr. Q Aboud was advised that prior to entering the filly to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the left hind-leg. Trainer Mr. Q Aboud was advised that prior to entering the filly to race again it must pass a suitability examination conducted by an ERA Veterinarian. RIM AL REEF (AE) - (Q Al Busaidi): Reared and flipped backward in the barrier prior to the start, underwent a veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the filly at 5:34pm. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the left hind-leg. Trainer Dr. J Bittar was advised that prior to entering the filly to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. Further, Dr. J Bittar was advised that prior to the filly entering to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for RIM AL REEF (AE).

Trainer Mr. Q Aboud was advised that prior to entering the horse to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. ALSALAM (AE) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin. HAZEM AL WATHBA (AE) - (R Dawson): On jumping was bumped by another runner. HF BACHA (AE) - (S Paiva): Slow to begin. JAP YANSHED (AE) - (S Hitchcott): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. SHUGGA'A BAYNOUNAH (AE) - (D O'Neill): On jumping was brushed by another runner. TABARAK MLEEH (AE) - (P Cosgrave): On jumping shifted out and brushed another runner. TAG ALARAB (AE) - (Q Al Busaidi): Commenced awkwardly. BAYDAA (AE) - (M Ghorli): Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the performance of the filly, the rider advised that BAYDAA (AE) raced green and lay out during the race. MAIMOON (AE) - (R Mullen): En-route to the barrier became loose and galloped for a short distance before being re-captured, underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Became extremely fractious in the barrier prior to the start, breaking through the front of the barrier. Underwent a veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 6:30pm. Trainer Mr. S Al Ketbi was advised that prior to entering the gelding to race again, it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. General: Trainer Mr. M Al Shamsi (BAYDAA (AE)) lodged a complaint against Jockey M Ghorli for not following his pre-race instructions and his post-race comments. After taking evidence it was established that the instructions given were for BEYDAA (AE) to race in a forward position and ensure the filly is ridden out over the concluding stages, for educational purposes. M Ghorli advised that BAYDAA (AE) did not begin well and after raced greenly, had a tendency to lay outwards throughout the race. He added that over the concluding stages he pushed the filly out as instructed and on return to the paddock advised that in his opinion BAYDAA (AE) was not ready for racing. Stewards noted his comments however did advise him of his requirements to always be respectful to the Trainer and the owners present, as on this occasion they took exception to his post-race comments.

HUTOOF (AE) - (F Jara): Near the 1500 metres had to be eased when momentarily tightened for room between runners. MAHMOUDA (AE) - (S Hitchcott): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for SATTAM MUSCAT (OM)(A Al Balushi) being tightened for room near the 300 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 300 metres AF MUALAMI (FR)(A Fresu), attempted to improve into a tight gap, that had commenced to open as SATTAM MUSCAT (OM) had commenced to weaken and as a result SATTAM MUSCAT (OM), was tightened for room and had to be checked. As AF MUALAMI (FR) was improving into the gap, RB BRADLEY NELSON (US)(B Pinheiro) shifted in whilst under pressure, taking AF MUALAMI (FR) on an inward course, being tightened for room and having to be eased. Jockey B Pinheiro and Jockey A Fresu were both reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i) for careless riding.
