AF YATWA'AD (AE) - (A Fresu): Commenced awkwardly. Over-raced raced in the early stages. AL KAMEEN (AE) - (T Koyuncu): On jumping bumped by another runner and lost ground. When questioned regarding the performance of the colt, the rider could offer no explanation other than AL KAMEEN (AE) never travelled well throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed failed to reveal any abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of mucus which may have affected the colt’s performance. ES AJBAN (AE) - (S Paiva): Raced wide without cover throughout. JAP WALHAN (AE) - (J Van Overmeire): Lay in under pressure rounding the home turn and in the straight. NAJIH (AE) - (T O'Shea): On jumping shifted out and bumped another runner. On return to the parade ring after the race and after the rider had dismounted, became loose and galloped around the track, before being captured on the stable road. As the saddle was not able to be retrieved within an acceptable timeframe, Stewards permitted T O’Shea not to weight in to avoid a significant delay. NAJIH (AE) placed fifth. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be mildly lame in the right hindleg. NOUFAL AL WATHBA (AE) - (A Al Balushi): Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Commenced awkwardly.
