A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame. JALMOOD (GB) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin. Near the 1900 metres when racing ungenerously, hung outwards off the heels of another runner. MAYSSOUR AL CHAM (FR) - (J Van Overmeire): Commenced awkwardly. On return to scale the rider advised that the colt felt amiss over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to mildly lame in the left hind-leg however, an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of mucus that may have affected the performance of MAYSSOUR AL CHAM (FR). MUTHABIR (GB) - (R Dawson): On jumping shifted in and bumped another runner. RB KINGMAKER (US) - (A Fresu): Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Near the 1900 metres shifted outwards when racing ungenerously. On straightening and in the early part of the straight hung right. General: Stewards inquired into the reason for EGHEL DE PINE (IT)(O Chavez) having to be checked near the 600 metres. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 600 metres EGHEL DE PINE (IT) had to be checked when tightened for room by SADN (FR)(B Pinheiro), which was taken inwards by SUNY DU LOUP (FR)(P Dobbs), that shifted inwards to avoid the heels of IHTESHAM (FR)(A de Vries), which was restraining from ARIF (FR)(S Hitchcott), that had commenced to weaken. As Stewards could not attribute blame to any one rider, it was reported as a racing incident and all rider were advised to exercise more care in a similar situation.
