When questioned regarding the performance of the horse, the rider advised that AM BADER was slow to begin and that the horse did not feel comfortable in its action throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be mildly sore behind. DALMOUJ (AE) - (P Cosgrave): Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Trainer Mr. Dr. J Bittar was advised that prior to the horse being permitted to enter a race again, he must complete a satisfactory stalls test. IZDEEHAR W'RSAN (AE) - (S Hitchcott): Bumped on jumping. ZAMMAM (AE) - (R Dawson): En-route to the barrier dislodged its rider and galloped a considerable distance before being recaptured, underwent a veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice, Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the gelding at 4:55pm. A subsequent veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. He added that the horse may not have appreciated the short time between runs. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of mucus that may have affected the performance of AF AFHAM (AE). AF MUSANNEF (AE) - (D O'Neill): On jumping brushed another runner. Held up for a short distance rounding the home turn. FOAH (AE) - (B Pinheiro): Marginally slow to begin and was bumped between runners shortly after the start. MAIMOON (AE) - (R Mullen): On return to scale the advised that the gelding performed poorly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame on the right hind-leg. JAP HADAD (AE) - (R Ffrench): Slow to begin and was tightened for room. On return to scale the rider reported that the horse commenced to weaken from the 1000 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have atrial fibrillation, an endoscopic examination revealed a degree of EIPH that may have affected the performance of JAWAL AL REEF (AE). Trainer Mr. A Daud was notified that prior to the horse entering to race again it must perform a satisfactory gallop in the presence of an ERA veterinary officer and lodge a veterinary report stating that JAWAL AL REEF (AE) is displaying a normal ECG after the gallop. The official gallop may only be performed fourteen (14) days after the event. MUJEEB (FR) - (R Mullen): Marginally slow to begin and brushed another runner. MUNIR DU SOLEIL (FR) - (R Dawson): Shortly after the start shifted in and bumped another runner. REEM BAYNOUNAH (FR) - (P Cosgrave): Saddle had to be re-adjusted on arrival the barrier. Difficult to load and fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Trainer Ms. N Mahgoub was advised that prior to the horse being permitted to enter a race again, she must complete two satisfactory stalls tests. SNAN (FR) - (J Van Overmeire): Marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start was bumped by another runner. On return to scale the rider advised that his saddle shifted back from the 500 metres and placed him at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race. SOMOUD (FR) - (A Fresu): On jumping was brushed by another runner. General: Jockey B Pinheiro (AJRAD ATHBAH (GB)) was reprimanded under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(iv) for making a celebratory gesture prior to his mount passing to the winning post.
